The Union Board is excited to announce the annual wage increases effective July 1, 2025:

At the membership meeting in January 2025, the membership voted to request a 6-month extension on our existing contract (MOU with TFH) that was set to expire on 7/1/2025   6/30/2025.  Tahoe Forest Hospital District agreed to this extension and it was signed by both parties.  The Union Board also requested that a separate ‘side letter of agreement’ was signed by both parties to ensure that the provisions in article 7 (wages) would be upheld for the duration of the extension. This was also agreed and signed by both parties.  The agreed upon details of article 7 ensure that employees of the District are guaranteed a minimum of a 3% increase to their wages effective July 1, 2025.  Additionally, the Board requested that market survey data from agreed upon locations would be evaluated and wages/pay ranges would be adjusted to ensure the District remains competitive with wages.

After the completion of the market survey data by an independent entity, a majority of the positions here at Tahoe Forest Hospital will have a range adjustment of at a minimum 2.5% with a wage increase of a minimum of 3%.  Several of the positions matched to a higher pay range and those positions will move more than the 2.5% range increase and wages would also move more than the guaranteed 3%.

There were a very few positions whose market survey data showed them as a decrease for this year.  These positions will still receive the guaranteed 3% wage increase that was negotiated by the Union.  The difference being that the position will not move to a higher pay range.  In addition, per the contract, those employees currently at the top of their pay range would receive a lump sum bonus if their pay range does not move.  This has been the historical practice and is part of the existing contract

Wage increases will be effective on your pay check for 7/18/2025.  Your increase will also be available in UKG after this current pay period and once management has had a chance to make all the changes.

During the month of July, management and Human Resources will be working on departmental equity evaluations per the requirements of the existing contract.  If you have concerns about your wages as it relates to equity within your department, please consult with your manager and request an evaluation.

What does this mean to you?

You will see a wage increase on your 7/18/2025 paycheck of a minimum of 3% or receive a lump sum payment if you reach the top of your pay range.  Some positions in the market survey data showed increases greater than 3% and due to the negotiated contract with the Union, the District will be matching these positions based on this data. Due to this, some positions will see an increase greater than 3%.  You should see the changes in UKG by 7/12/2025 at the latest.  If you have questions regarding your wage, please consult with your manager first.  If you have questions regarding the MOU contract, market survey data, or pay ranges please reach out to a member of the Union Board or visit our website at www.tfhemployees.org.

The Union Board is grateful for the ongoing negotiations with management and the wage increases for this fiscal year.  We appreciate the memberships understanding as we continue to negotiate the new contract that we intend to finalize by January 2026.  Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
