Message from the Board

To all Union represented employees,
The Union Board is pleased to announce that after much hard work, the
recent contract negotiations between labor and management were finalized
in early December and the tentative agreement went to the hospital Board
of Directors on 12/18/2025. The contact was approved by the Board at that
time.
Two informational meetings were held for membership with open Q&A in
mid-December. Voting for membership opened on 12/19/2025 and
remained open for 10 days closing on 12/29/2025. The votes have now
been tabulated by the independent electronic voting firm. The membership
voted to approve the negotiated tentative agreement.
This agreement has now been signed by all parties. Since the recent
joining of the EA and EAP, this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will
be the contract for all represented employees for Tahoe Forest Hospital
District. This contract is effective as of 1/1/2026. A copy of the MOU in
both English and Spanish is available on our Union website
tfhemployees.org. This contract will remain in place until 6/30/2027. A new
contract will be negotiated at that time and membership will be updated
during the process.
The Union Board has a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect for the
hard work on the part of the negotiations team to finalize this contract.
Contract negotiation is inherently a complicated and tedious task. Much
appreciation to the team and all those who participated and contributed to
this contract and its completion.
